She is a nurse too

Gloved hand caresses her head, grey-white hair soaked with sweat
She looks at me, fearful, breathing strained
A mask shields my worry
My face should not be the last she would see
She slips into sleep
Hang fluids, give pressors, change the vent
Googles fogging, I’m now sweat-drenched
She is a nurse too
